Culinary Skills Program


Our Culinary Skills Program teaches you what you need to begin an exciting career as a chef or cook. Through expert instruction and hands-on practice with professional chefs, learn about the fundamentals of ingredients and food preparation, cost control and the fascinating world of food culture. Develop practical experience in our cooking labs while exploring emerging culinary trends such as local sustainable foods, nutritional needs and international influences. This culinary program helps you broaden your knowledge and gives you the cooking and baking skills that are essential to success in today’s food service industry.


Program Essentials:

Uniforms and equipment are not included in the stated course costs and can be purchased at the George Brown College bookstore (either on campus or online).

Completion Details

Once you have completed all the requirements of this program, you can request to receive a certificate. Program graduates are eligible to apply to enter either the second or third term of the full-time Culinary Management (H100) diploma program.
