Google Analytics

The Continuing Education website collects visitor data using Google Analytics, which includes the use of Demographics and Interest Reporting. This feature is a web analysis service provided by Google.

Google collects data about your visits to and within our website through cookies, usage data and anonymous identifiers. Google uses the data collected about your visits to and within our website to prepare reports on its activities. For more information, refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

George Brown College uses Google Analytics “first-party” cookies to help us understand how visitors are using our website. The college uses Demographics and Interest Reporting “third-party” cookies to understand age, gender and interest categories. This analysis assists us in improving the navigation capabilities of our website and in assessing the needs of our audience, which helps us to develop new areas of interest, certificate programs and courses.

Anonymous information collected via Google Analytics is not combined with any personally identifiable information collected by the college (such as information collected during the registration process).

You can opt out of Google Analytics, including Demographics and Interest Reporting, by downloading and installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on on to your computer. (Visit the add-on web page to learn about browser compatibility.)
