Building Code

Ontario regulation 88/19: The ministry amended Ontario’s Building Code (O. Reg 332/12) to further harmonize Ontario’s Building Code with the 2015 National Codes. These changes will help reduce red tape for businesses and remove barriers to interprovincial trade throughout the country. The amendments, most of which took effect January 1, 2020, are based on code change proposals the ministry consulted in 2016 and 2017. The Ministry BCIN exams were updated to the above Regulation on June 1, 2020. Read the full announcement at our Building Code 2012 BCIN Self Study Manuals/Training Courses website.

Once you have completed at least one Building Code course, you will be eligible for a free one-year student membership with the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA).
