Pre-registration Considerations for School of Makeup and Esthetics Students

George Brown College is a name that employers have recognized and respected for over 50 years. We are proud to be able to offer you a top-quality education in the in-demand fields of makeup and esthetics through our School of Makeup and Esthetics.

How do I know if the School of Makeup and Esthetics is the right place for me?

We recommend that you start by contacting us and arranging a virtual tour of the school. You can see our up-to-date, professional facilities at our St. James Campus (193 King St. E.) in downtown Toronto.

How do I find the program I want?

To find the program that best suits your needs and goals, read about what to consider before you register.

How do I get the paperwork I need?

Many potential students require letters for Better Jobs, Ontario Works, First Nations bands and other funding organizations. We are happy to provide those. However, the School of Makeup and Esthetics is part of the Continuing Education department of George Brown, so we are not able to issue letters of acceptance for international students and our students do not qualify for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). (To find out about the George Brown College Student Assistance Fund, read about financial assistance for Continuing Education students.)

How do I plan my schedule?

Once you have decided on the program you want to pursue, arrange to meet with one of our staff so they can help find the best approach for you. Work with our staff to determine how long it will take for you to graduate and to map out your academic year. Once you know the courses and class sections you need to register in for the year, you can go ahead and register. At the School for Makeup and Esthetics, you register in and pay for each required course individually, so you can secure your spot in all the courses you need right away or in select ones as your time and budget allow.

What do I need to do before I register for the first required course in a program?

Before you register for your first course, read about what to consider before you register.

How do I buy the supplies I need?

Purchase everything you need to complete all your courses (including kits and uniforms) from our convenient Makeup and Esthetics Student Store.
