Before the First Class
Regardless of what course(s) you are taking, make sure you find out about
- how to get your student ID number and password and set up the required multi-factor authentication (MFA) so you can use your student account and other college services (including your college email address)
- our bookstores and libraries
- parking options
- the dates of college closures
- your free Office 365 account and other free software, like LinkedIn Learning and AppsAnywhere
- options for printing and photocopying
- how to arrange learning accommodations with Accessible Learning Services
- the many other student resources available
- the last day to drop a course as a transfer or withdrawal
Certain courses may have specific requirements. If necessary, make sure you find out
- how to find your class’s room assignment (for an on-campus course) or the technology you require (for an online course)
- how to get your supplies from the Makeup and Esthetics Student Store for your makeup and esthetics course
- how arrange a jewellery kit rental for your jewellery course
- whether your course has a dress code
