Vulnerable Sector Check

In compliance with the requirements of our placement partners, all students in Nursing programs that involve a field or clinical placement are required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). Your VSC must be renewed every year that you are taking part in a placement.

Failure to meet the VSC requirements for a field or clinical placement will prevent you from securing a placement and, therefore, from completing the program. Our agency partners have the final say regarding students being allowed to practice in their agency and will not accept anyone without a “clear” VSC.

All costs, service fees, and fines associated with the VSC are your responsibility and must be paid by you.

For more information about the VSC and the costs involved, visit our Clinical Pre-placement Office web page.
