Our French Cooking course focuses on quality ingredients and a respect for strong culinary history and traditions as it helps you develop an appreciation for traditional French cooking. Learn why French cooking is celebrated as the gastronomic standard, and explore the traditional French preparations for vegetables, chicken, pork, veal, duck, rabbit, fish, shrimp and mussels as well as several classic desserts. Observe demonstrations then practice preparing and tasting your own creations.

Course Essentials:

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9088 Culinary Arts 1 course or our HOSF 9473 Culinary Arts 1 (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
