Our Cake Decorating 1 course provides the foundation for the art of cake decorating. Learn the basics of piping and masking through the use of various icings, including buttercream and royal icing. Through step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice, develop the skills you need to pipe decorative borders and flowers as well as to fill, cover, and decorate cakes for any special occasion.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9134 Baking Arts course or our HOSF 9461 Baking Arts (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)

Course Essentials:

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe), and tools to the first class.
