Welding 3 Practical WELD 9051

Our Welding 3 Practical course uses the CWB Group's Learning Resources framework to provide practical learning opportunities that build on the welding skills you learned in our Welding 2 Practical course. Explore engineering drawing interpretation distortion, metal forming, material handling and plasma cutting, and practice and refine the techniques involved in producing quality fillet joint welds in the vertical and overhead positions. Further expand your basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW) skills and your understanding of welding health and safety.

Course Essentials:

You will receive access to the CWB Group's Learning Resources content, quizzes, and resources. The CWB virtual textbook that you received as part of WELD 9046 Welding 1 Theory (Online) can also be used for this course. You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.

Prerequisites

You must have been contacted by the college and given permission to register for this course and you must have completed our WELD 9049 Welding 2 Practical course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.) Anyone who registers without prior permission will be removed from the course.
