Our Nutrition course is a theoretical and practical study of the gastrointestinal system as well as energy sources and uses. Learn basic principles of the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins and minerals, and participate in detailed discussions of nutrient functions.

Course Delivery Method:
This is normally an in-class course but will be offered temporarily online via Blackboard Learn/Collaborate while college buildings are closed. This course is mainly self-directed, but teacher support will be available via email. Additionally, teacher-led online sessions will be held for classes 4, 7 and 11; additional sessions will be scheduled if needed; and lecture recordings will be available.
Attendance Requirements:
Remember that Continuing Education attendance requirements and closure dates differ from those for full-time college programs. Continuing Education courses do not have a reading (intersession) week.
Recommendations
You will have the most success in this course if you already have Grade 12 English before you start this course.
