Our Large Buildings 2012 course is an overview/refresher course for experienced practitioners. This building code course helps you review and become more familiar with the parts of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) dealing with large buildings. It is based on Large Building Syllabus (2012) and focuses on Volume 1: Division A Parts 1, 2, and 3; Division B Parts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12; and points of interest as found in Division C Parts 1 and 2. It also reviews parts of Volume 2 Supplementary Standards SA-1, SB-2, SB-8, SB-10, and SB-13.

This course can help you prepare to write the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Large Buildings exam (not included). The MMAH exam is administered by Humber College. For more information, visit the Ontario Building Code Examinations website.

Prerequisites

You must have a general understanding of the building construction process and basic blueprint reading skills.
