Our HVAC House 2012 course is an overview/refresher course for experienced practitioners. This building code course helps you review and become more familiar with the parts of the Ontario Building Code dealing with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) for houses and helps you prepare for the associated qualification exam. Based on the HVAC House Syllabus (2012), the curriculum focuses on Division A and Division B (particularly Parts 1, 6, 9, 11, and 12) of the Code.

Prerequisites

You must have a general understanding of the building construction process and basic blueprint reading skills.

Course Essentials:

You must bring a copy of the 2012 Building Code Compendium and the HVAC House 2012 workbook/manual to the first class. The compendium and workbook/manual are both available for purchase through the George Brown College bookstore and at our Building Code and Trade Manuals website. The compendium can also be purchased at the Publications Ontario website.
