Our Gem Setting course provides you with an introduction to various gem-setting techniques, including bezel, flush, tube, claw and channel. Gain an understanding of the properties and various cuts of gemstones, and learn to use and maintain gem-setting tools. Practice your skills through a range of projects.
You will be required to provide your own tools, and you should expect to spend between $250 and $350 (depending on the grade you choose) on equipment. The teacher will provide a list of required tools during the first class.
You must have completed our JEWL 9084 Jewellery-making Techniques 1: Basic course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
