Jay (Seul Kee) Joo

Originally from South Korea, Jay Joo received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in material art and design (jewellery/metalsmithing) from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University. During his years at OCAD University, he acquired a diverse skill set that includes traditional fabrication, chasing and repoussé, and computer-aided design. In 2012, he was accepted into the Harbourfront Centre's artist-in-residence program and awarded a scholarship. In 2015, after his residency, he established JJSTUDIO in downtown Toronto where he practices as a jeweller, teaches, and promotes local art and craft.
