Estates for Law Clerks LAW 9016
Our Estates for Law Clerks course is equivalent to the Estates course offered by the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO). Intended for experienced legal assistants or law clerks, this estate law course deals with the preparation of wills and powers of attorney. Explore estate administration, estate account preparation, ongoing trust administration, income tax return preparation, estate-related litigation, and letters testamentary.

This course can help you prepare to write the ILCO Estates exam (not included). You must register in and pay for this course through George Brown College and register in and pay for the Estates exam through the ILCO. ILCO exams are written according to the ILCO exam schedules. To sit the exam, you must submit the online ILCO Provincial Estates Exam registration form before the ILCO exam registration deadline. For more information, visit the ILCO Estates Exam Policies and Registration Forms web page. Your final grade will be issued by the ILCO after you complete the exam.
Recommendations
You will have the most success in this course if you already have a secondary school diploma and two years of related work experience in the legal field and a good command of written English before you start this course.
