Diabetes Education Fundamentals NURS 9211
Our Diabetes Education Fundamentals course provides you with the foundational level of knowledge, essential skills, and abilities (applications) you need to provide diabetes support and care in a culturally competent manner across the lifespan and tailored to patient and family education needs. Learn how to support informed decision making, effective diabetes management, problem solving, and active collaboration with the interprofessional diabetes care team in order to improve clinical outcomes, health status, and quality of life. This diabetes education course reflects such current practice competencies as pathophysiology, nutrition, medications, self-care management, monitoring, and psychosocial aspects of care.
