Our Business Intelligence Fundamentals course provides aspiring data professionals with a basic knowledge of business intelligence (BI), which is the process of collecting, storing, and analyzing data from business operations. BI provides comprehensive business metrics – such as key performance indicators (KPI) – in near real-time to support business decision making. Learn about the key components of an effective BI solution program, about the benefits of a properly established and mature deployment of a BI platform, and how to plan and design BI solutions. Explore the various BI technologies and tools (including IBM Cognos, Microsoft Power BI, and Tableau Software) to create BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards. Study types of data analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive), and explore viable choices for a career in BI.
