Our Building Maintenance for Property Managers course recognizes that property managers are responsible for their organization’s asset management plans, which include capital and reserve planning, building inspections, preventative maintenance planning, extensive project management and the ability to implement industry best practices and legislative requirements. Get an overview of property and site maintenance (with a strong focus on preventative maintenance); building and system management; and health and safety requirements for staff, residents and properties. Then learn contract management skills, and get the tools you need to develop site-specific/organizational plans, comprehensive maintenance plans and energy reduction strategies.
Course Delivery Method:
This is normally an in-class course but will be offered temporarily online via Blackboard Learn while college buildings are closed.
You will have the most success in this course if you have already completed our IHM 9000 Property and Building Administration course before you start this course.
