This advanced building code course deals with the structural provisions and limitations of Division B Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code (though it does not deal specifically with the design of structural elements). The curriculum explores legal considerations; soil conditions; excavations, footings, and foundations; transfer of forces acting on a building; masonry construction; trusses; and special separations and exposure protection.
