Our Spanish Language Fundamentals Program meets the needs of those who wish to develop or improve their Spanish for use in the workplace, during travel, and in everyday situations. Our live, teacher-led classes allow you to practice your speaking and listening skills through interactive exercises with peers while also introducing you to the cultures in which Spanish is spoken. The required courses emphasize authenticity, active participation, pronunciation, listening skills, and role-playing.
If you have no previous Spanish language experience, we recommend you begin with LANG 9050 Spanish Fundamentals 1. If you have previous Spanish language experience and you would like to have your language skills assessed to determine the most suitable course for you to begin with, we recommend you do a placement interview with us.
Once you have completed all the requirements of this program, you can request to receive the certificate of completion using the department contact information on this web page.
