Our Motor Control Basics course allows you to explore various AC and DC motors, and consider controls, applications, design, set-up and troubleshooting. Cover electromechanical systems, four-quadrant operation, power electronic devices, power converters, close-loop control systems, scalar variable-frequency drives, current inverters, vector drives and direct torque control drives as well as electromechanical and hard-wired relay systems.

Course Delivery Method:

This is normally an in-class course but will be offered temporarily online via Blackboard Learn/Collaborate while college buildings are closed. The materials for self-directed learning will be distributed through Blackboard Learn on the section start date. Weekly online sessions on Blackboard Collaborate will start two weeks after the start date.
