Math for Pharmacy Assistants PHAR 9017
Our Math for Pharmacy Assistants course recognizes that math skills and the ability to do calculations correctly are an essential component of the pharmacy assistant's role. Acquire a foundation in the calculations used in pharmacy while focusing on solving mathematical problems accurately. Study basic algebra, decimals, fractions, percentage, ratio, and proportion in addition to metric equivalents. Learn about pharmaceutical formulation and prescription set-up as well as how to differentiate between pediatric dosages and adult dosages and how to calculate parenteral and intravenous medication dosages.
Prerequisites
You must have completed our PHAR 9014 Pharmacy Foundations and Law (Online) course.
Recommendations
You will have the most success in this course if you already have a diploma/degree or other training in a health-related field.

Grade Requirements:
You must achieve a grade of 80% (A-) or better to pass this course.
