Our Lathe Operations course teaches you about lathe technology and basic machine tools, including speeds and feeds, machining operations, precision turning and tool-bit grinding. Get a basic understanding of engineering drawings (reading and interpreting) and trade mathematics (converting formulas and taper calculations).

You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.
Prerequisites
You must have completed our MENG 9024 Fundamentals of Machining Operations course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
