Hats Off to Millinery FASH 9086

On Campus

Our Hats Off to Millinery course explores the art of making hats. Develop your basic millinery skills by combining your sewing, pattern-making, and crafting knowledge to make original 3D expressions of your creativity. Learn to design, construct, and embellish four hats in various materials, including buckram and felt.

Course Essentials:

You must have your own supplies and access to a sewing machine outside of class hours (to complete assignments). The teacher will provide a list of the required supplies during the first class. However, you must bring one sheet of bristol board, a glue stick, and paper-cutting scissors to the first class.

You must have basic sewing experience (meaning you must be able to competently use a sewing machine and do hand stitching to complete a garment).
