Our Frontiers of Sustainable Agriculture course explores the intersection of ecology, equity, sustainability, and innovation. Examine how agriculture can be redesigned from the ground up, both literally and figuratively, as you consider a range of topics — from the plant microbiome and permaculture to regenerative farming and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Also engage with the science of living soils, the ethics of food systems, Indigenous land stewardship, circular economy principles, and practical tools for community food system design. This agricultural technology course culminates in a capstone project in which you apply the full scope of your learning to a sustainable agriculture initiative (real or hypothetical).

This course has been designed and developed by George Brown Polytechnic Continuing Education in partnership with STEM Minds and Boreal Farms.

You must have completed our AGRI 9002 Future of Food Technology course.
