Our French Language Programs meet the needs of those who wish to develop or improve their French for use in the workplace, during travel, and in everyday situations. Our live, teacher-led classes allow you to practice your speaking and listening skills through interactive exercises with peers. The courses in these programs offer a range levels – from beginner to advanced – and emphasize authenticity, active participation, pronunciation, listening skills, and role-playing. The required courses teach you the French language while also introducing you to the cultures in which it is spoken.

Recommendations

If you have no previous French language experience, we recommend you begin with FREN 9211 French Fundamentals 1. If you have previous French language experience and you would like to have your language skills assessed to determine the most suitable course for you to begin with, we recommend you do a placement interview with us.

Completion Details

Once you have completed our French Fundamentals courses (three in total), you can request to receive our French Language Fundamentals Certificate of Completion. Once you have completed our French Fundamentals courses and our French Intermediate courses (six in total), you can request to receive our French Language Intermediate Certificate. Once you have completed our French Fundamentals courses and our French Intermediate courses and our French Proficiency courses (eight in total), you can request to receive our French Language Proficiency Certificate.
