Cyber Security and Information Protection COMP 9707

Online

Our Cyber Security and Information Protection course was developed because, almost every week, there are media reports about major institutions or global business organizations that have experienced data breaches that have compromised confidential customer information or other proprietary business information. Learn how to protect enterprise assets (confidential business and customer data) as well as personal identifiable information (PII). Consider the various approaches and measures used to deal with day-to-day issues, including data breaches, cyber threats (such as ransomware), distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks, and phishing as well as online scams, identity threats, social engineering, and more. Study the Cyber Kill Chain framework, mobile security, data privacy, intrusion detection/prevention, encryption, data loss prevention, secured email, cloud security, big data security, and blockchain security. This cyber security course reflects the Core Body of Knowledge (CBK) and subject domains required in professional exams (such as the CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, and CIPP certifications).
