Skin Care 3 FASH 9234 Email to a Friend Our Skin Care 3 course helps you gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, oxygen facials and intense pulsed light (IPL) skin care treatments. Using the latest technology and products, learn to perform advanced customized treatments for anti-aging purposes and for various conditions (such as acne, pigmentation, rosacea and dilated capillaries). Classes occasionally feature industry guest speakers and representatives from skin care product lines who help you become more familiar with the esthetics industry. Practice what you learn by performing services – on classmates, models and clients – in the classroom and in the school spa. This esthetics course also features an advanced clinical component that helps you prepare for the workplace and gain confidence: hone your skills as you work independently and as part of a team to apply the knowledge and techniques you gained throughout your skin care studies. Public health standards, personal appearance, professionalism, etiquette and communication are integral parts of this course. Note(s) Classroom and Exam Policies: You will be required to work on other students and to let other students work on you in order to gain the skills you need to work on models and clients. You will also be required to bring your own model on occasion and for practical exams. Dress Code: You will be required to wear comfortable shoes, our esthetics uniform and no enhancements on your nails at all times in class. If you do not already own one, you must purchase our uniform from the Makeup and Esthetics Student Store at a cost of $90 (plus tax).
