Biography:

Richard Norman’s background includes 25 years as an intelligence officer with the Canadian Armed Forces specializing in post-conflict development. In 2008, he served in Afghanistan as Chief Targeting Intelligence Liaison Officer for Operation Enduring Freedom. He has lectured and advised throughout the United States (US) on crime analysis operations, has sat on several policy writing boards for the US Department of Justice, and has acted as an adviser to the US National Security Agency. Richard has both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Guelph and is currently pursuing a doctorate there focused on intergovernmental co-operation, counter-insurgency, and post-conflict development.
