Arif Anwar

Arif Anwar is an author and public policy professional. Born in Bangladesh, he worked on issues of poverty alleviation for BRAC (originally the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Assistance Committee) and on public health issues for UNICEF Myanmar. After moving to Toronto, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in education from the University of Toronto and started working in provincial government policy roles. Arif’s first novel, The Storm, was published in 2018 and featured in The New York Times Sunday Book Review.
