Our Welding 1 course uses the CWB Group's Learning Resources framework to provide a combination of theoretical and practical learning opportunities. This first-level practical welding course explores basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW), welding health and safety, power sources, and the use of hand and power tools. Learn the basic principles involved in SMAW and GMAW in the flat and horizontal positions.

You will receive a virtual textbook as well as access to CWB Group's Learning Resources content, quizzes, and resources. You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.
