Spanish Language Program

Certificate of Completion

Our Spanish Language Program meets the needs of those who wish to develop or improve their Spanish for use in the workplace or in everyday situations. This Spanish program offers a range of courses – from beginner to intermediate – which cover reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites if you choose to start this program with our introductory LANG 9050 Spanish 1A course. However, if you have previous Spanish language experience and wish to fast-track this program, you must either do a placement interview (so we can determine your Spanish language proficiency and the course most suitable for you to start with) or you must apply for course exemptions (if you have completed the equivalent courses at an accredited post-secondary institution within the last three to five years).

Completion Details

You must complete our LANG 9052 Spanish 2A course, our LANG 9053 Spanish 2B course and our LANG 9074 Spanish 2C course regardless of your placement interview or exemption results. Once you have completed all the requirements of this program with a cumulative grade average of B (73%) or better, you can request to receive a certificate of completion.
