Our Fish 1 course provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to be able to create impressive and flavourful fish and seafood dishes for any occasion. This fish course is designed to simplify the process of preparing fish and seafood while teaching you the essential techniques required to cook these delicate ingredients with confidence. Learn how to work with whole fish as you practice creating a variety of dishes, from pan-fried fish fillets to delicately poached dishes and grilled specialties. Also explore the methods used in the art of searing fish, and discover the secret to achieving the perfect shellfish.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9088 Culinary Arts 1 course or our HOSF 9473 Culinary Arts 1 (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe), and tools to the first class.
