Our Controlled Environment Agriculture course introduces you to the rapidly growing world of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) as well as the historical context of Canadian agriculture, advanced system design, operational planning, and entrepreneurship. Whether you are a home grower curious about hydroponics or aquaponics, a professional exploring career pivots, or a community organizer interested in food access, this CEA course gives you a grounded understanding of how food is grown indoors — the science, the systems, the business models, and the technology.
This course has been designed and developed by George Brown Polytechnic Continuing Education in partnership with STEM Minds and Boreal Farms.
