Our Coffee Specialist course provides you with an introduction to all aspects of coffee. Study the basics of the coffee plant (including botany, taxonomy, and species) as well as the general characteristics and styles of coffee from various regions. Explore the growing conditions applicable to the production of coffee, the key steps used in coffee manufacturing and processing, and the regulations impacting the market. Consider sensory perception science, sensory evaluation concepts, and the methodology for applying these concepts to coffee then practice evaluating coffees through tastings.
