Our Introduction to Catering course provides you with a fundamental understanding of the catering industry as it relates to event planning. Start by studying key industry terms, how catering businesses are structured and the differences between on-site and off-site catering. Then learn about relevant catering practices and how to best manage the food and beverage aspect of an event. Practice service planning and function room set-ups as well as designing menus that match the food and beverage service of an event (taking into account nutritional needs, special diets and sustainability principles).
