Our Grandes Pagos de España Terroir Seminar course provides you with a comprehensive educational experience, delving deep into the unique attributes of Grandes Pagos De España wineries. In Spain’s hierarchy of wine appellations, the Vino de Pago classification represents single estates that consistently produce some of Spain’s best quality wines. The Grandes Pagos de España is an association of 35 wineries that have banded together to create an educational program highlighting the distinct terroir of each estate and are dedicated to furthering an understanding of the culture, history, sustainability, and environmental preservation of their vineyards. This terroir course is led by notable Spanish wine experts and explores the impact of history, culture, geography, climate, and people on terroir. Classes include coursework and guided tastings covering eight regions of Spain (Green Spain, Meseta North, Ebro River Valley, Catalonia, Mediterranean, Meseta Central, the South, and the Islands).
