Our Gas Technician 2 course is currently being offered in four parts: HVAC 9067 Gas Technician 2A Theory (Distance Learning), this course (Gas Technician 2A Practical), HVAC 9069 Gas Technician 2B Theory (Distance Learning) and HVAC 9070 Gas Technician 2B Practical. You must complete all four parts at George Brown College to qualify to write EX 02 TSSA Gas Technician 2 Exam.

Our Gas Technician 2A Practical course complies with the practical education portion of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) training curriculum for the gas technician 2 (G.2) certification and includes modules 10 through 17. Together this course and HVAC 9070 Gas Technician 2B Practical cover the practical training required for the G.2 certification. Get the skills and knowledge you need (while under supervision) to install, service and maintain propane and natural gas piping/tubing; mechanical and electro-mechanical controls on gas appliances less than 400,000 BTU; domestic and non-vented appliances; conversion burners; and gas pressure regulators, and relief valves and cylinders.

You must attend all scheduled classes to qualify for our EX 02 TSSA Gas Technician 2 Exam.

Course Essentials:

You will be required to have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.

Grade Requirements:

You must achieve a grade average of 75% or higher in this course and in each associated course (HVAC 9067 Gas Technician 2A Theory (Distance Learning), HVAC 9069 Gas Technician 2B Theory (Distance Learning) and HVAC 9070 Gas Technician 2B Practical) to qualify for our EX 02 TSSA Gas Technician 2 Exam.
