Hybrid

Our Dental Assisting Education in Lieu: Coronal Polishing Clinical course is designed for those who have previously had their education assessed by the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) and who have been deemed eligible to complete the NDAEB Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) Skill 4: Selective Coronal Polishing. Using both independent study and practical application, this course provides you with a targeted review and practical skill development to support safe, effective, and consistent clinical performance. Review the principles, indications, contraindications, precautions, and techniques related to coronal polishing. Focus on patient assessment, the selection and preparation of the appropriate equipment and polishing agents, infection prevention and control procedures, and the safe and effective removal of extrinsic stain and plaque from tooth surfaces. Work towards improving accuracy, efficiency, confidence, and readiness through feedback, skill reinforcement, repeated clinical practice, and evaluation of clinical performance.

Prerequisites

You must be eligible to complete the CPE. Following registration, you will be contacted to submit your NDAEB letter verifying your eligibility.
