Our Building Information Modelling Fundamentals course is a theory-only course that teaches a variety of concepts key to the implementation and management of building information modelling (BIM). BIM involves creating and managing files that represent the physical and functional features of locations in order to assist in decision making about those locations. Learn about Canadian and international standards, policies and procedures, organizational commitment, legal implications, interoperability of BIM platforms, methods of delivery, and BIM execution.

Prerequisites

You must be familiar with construction methods, construction materials, building design, and assembly.

Intake Method:

The course sections (CRNs) use continuous intake registration. That means they do not have traditional start/end dates. You can register at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) during the date range shown, and you will have 120 calendar days from the day you receive the online access/course materials to complete the course. Keep in mind that you will receive your online access/course materials approximately a week after you register.
