Our Basic Sewing course teaches you how to cut and sew a variety of garments (using commercial patterns and fashion fabric) as well as how to take body measurements and conduct basic garment fittings. This sewing course takes a hands-on approach by providing supervised lab time, providing access to industrial equipment and assigning projects.
You must have scissors, a flat-head screwdriver, sewing thread, pins, a seam ripper, hand needles and a measuring tape as well as commercial patterns and fashion fabric for four garments. You should expect to spend between $50 and $100 (in addition to the course fee) on these materials.
