Our BASE: Building an Athletic Structure for Exercise course teaches you about how the biomechanics of the foot impacts performance and explores the techniques used to mitigate and treat lower limb injuries in active populations. Study the development of gait, the anatomy and biomechanics of the foot and ankle, and the active interventions that build a strong, foundational "BASE" of support. Lectures, practical labs, and group clinical case work go beyond foot assessment and treatment to help you elevate your skills, refine your vision as a clinician or trainer, and cultivate the consistency and discipline essential in your own life and practice. This BASE course is an immersive course designed for health professionals who work with or aspire to work with the active community, including athletic therapists, chiropractors, chiropodists, doctors, fascial stretch therapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, personal trainers, physiotherapists, podiatrists, strength and conditioning coaches, skills coaches (running, lifting, sport, etc.), and students in these fields.

This course is offered by George Brown College Continuing Education in partnership with BASE.
