Our Baking with Local Ingredients course recognizes that Ontario farmers produce an incredible variety of local ingredients that can be used to create seasonal baked goods. This baking course focuses on recipes that provide a wide range of delicious flavours while enabling you to support local food communities. Learn to work with rye, kamut, barley, maple syrup, duck eggs, strawberries, plums, apples, pears, dairy products and more as you create breads, tarts, cakes and cookies.

Course Essentials:

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9134 Baking Arts course or our HOSF 9461 Baking Arts (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
