Part 3 Fire Protection BLDG 9239
Our Part 3 Fire Protection course is a detailed technical course. This building code course deals with incombustible construction, closures, continuity of fire separations and firewalls, spatial separation, and exposure protection while using referenced standards that are outside the Ontario Building Code.
Prerequisites
You must have a general understanding of the building construction process and basic blueprint reading skills.
Recommendations
You will have the most success in this course if you have already completed our BLDG 9241 Part 3 Large Buildings Classification and Construction: Virtual Classroom (Online) course or our BLDG 9267 Part 3 Large Buildings Classification and Construction: Independent Study (Online) course or our BLDG 9240 Part 3 Large Buildings Health and Safety Requirements (Online) course before you start this course.
Additional Information
Course Essentials:
You must bring a copy of the 2012 Building Code Compendium to the first class. The compendium is available for purchase through the George Brown College bookstore, at our Building Code and Trade Manuals website, and at the Publications Ontario website.
