Hats Off to Millinery FASH 9086 Email to a Friend Millinery is the art of making hats. Through our Hats off to Millinery course, develop basic millinery skills by combining your sewing, pattern-making and crafting knowledge to make original, three-dimensional expressions of your creativity. Learn to design, construct and embellish four hats in various materials, including buckram and felt. Note(s) You will be required to provide your own supplies. You must bring a basic sewing kit (assorted sizes of sewing needles, black quilting thread, white quilting thread) and scissors to the first class. The teacher will provide further details during the first class. In order to complete your assignments, you will also be required to have access to a sewing machine outside of class hours. Prerequisite(s) You must have basic sewing experience (meaning you must be able to competently use a sewing machine and do hand stitching to complete a garment). Recommendation(s) You are best to have pattern-making experience prior to taking this course.
