Our Leading, Following, and Speaking with Confidence course recognizes that the cornerstone of an organization's success is the effective leadership of its employees. Explore the various concepts and styles of leadership, the differences between leading and managing, and the leadership skills necessary for success in hospitality. Learn and practice skills in effective communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, problem solving, networking, and leading through economic uncertainty. Take the opportunity to assess your current leadership style, skills, behaviours, and goals and to develop an action plan for your future leadership skills development. This hospitality course also examines contemporary leadership concepts with an emphasis on global and multicultural themes as well as leadership issues and challenges within the hospitality industry. Group activities, case studies, and literature reviews are used to enhance leadership aptitudes, communication styles, and problem solving skills in order to enable you to meet the growing need for effective leadership and innovation in the hospitality industry.
