Our Essential Skills for Student Service course explores the competencies and essential skills student service professionals use to support post-secondary students. Explore service standards, active listening, student assessment, giving/receiving feedback, effective verbal and written communication, and advising and referral skills.

This is a self-directed online course delivered via Blackboard Learn. In addition to the self-directed work, you will be expected to meet in small groups to complete group activities and discuss course materials.
Prerequisites
You must have completed our TETR 9072 Student Advising Process (Distance Learning) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
