Dental Radiography DENT 9282

Blended

Our Dental Radiography course is designed for professionals (including nurses, receptionists, and dental assistants) currently employed in a dental practice in Ontario or graduates of a dental office administration program who wish to be qualified to meet the requirements of the Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Act. Study the theoretical, legal, and practical applications involved in exposing, processing, and handling dental radiographs while focusing on provincial/federal regulations, radiation hygiene measures, and standard intraoral radiographic techniques. Practice using various intraoral radiographic techniques in order to produce radiographs of diagnostic value while learning to follow radiation safety protocols and processing procedures. Additional instruction is provided in recognizing and solving faulty radiographs and the identification of normal radiographic landmarks as well as client management.

Passing this course means you have met all the requirements set out by the HARP Act and are qualified to operate an x-ray machine in the province of Ontario.
