Our Building Economics: Development course helps you expand your estimating and cost planning knowledge. Learn the fundamentals of outline specifications and preliminary estimating in relation to feasibility studies for construction projects. Analyze financing arrangements and life-cycle costing associated with the economics of development.


Course Delivery Method:

This is an online course delivered via Blackboard Learn. Final exams for all Estimating and Quantity Surveying online courses and some construction online courses are held on the same date in each term. If you are planning to register for more than one course in the same term, email before you register. The final exam for this course will be held online through Blackboard while the college is closed.

Course Accreditation:

Course Essentials:

You must have a copy of Construction Budgeting before you begin this course. It is available for purchase at the George Brown College bookstore (either on campus or online) and at the CIQS website.


You must have completed our BLDG 9080 Cost Planning (Distance Learning) course.(An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
