Welding 3 WELD 9040

Our Welding 3 course uses the CWB Group's Learning Resources framework to provide a combination of theoretical and practical learning opportunities that build on the welding skills you learned in our Welding 2 course. Further expand your basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW) knowledge and your understanding of welding health and safety. Explore distortion, metal forming, material handling and plasma cutting. Develop and refine the techniques required to produce quality fillet joint welds in the vertical and overhead positions.

Course Essentials:

You will receive access to the CWB Group's Learning Resources content, quizzes, and resources. The CWB virtual textbook that you received as part of WELD 9038 Welding 1 can also be used for this course. You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.

You must have completed our WELD 9039 Welding 2 course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
